Student Placements

We welcome law students coming to us as part of their placement program.

Students will undertake a range of work activities which can include legal research, application of the law, assisting with client interviews, as well as an understanding of ethical considerations in the context of legal practice and the law.

You will be working in both our National Disability Advocacy Program (NDAP) which deals with disability discrimination in the workplace or education and training, and our National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Appeals program. You will also get some insights into human rights, justice and equitable access to the law.

We believe a placement with us will give you a clear understanding of how to approach legal problems in the context of real-life situations by taking your existing legal knowledge and applying it in a technical and practical manner.

Several universities have placement programs with us directly, but if you are interested in arranging a placement independently, please contact us.
