Discrimination at School or University

Every student has the right to learn in a safe, fair and inclusive environment – including students with disability.

If you’re having trouble at school, TAFE, or university because of your disability, we may be able to help. We support students and families when schools or education providers don’t meet their legal obligations.

You can talk to us if:

• You’re being excluded from school activities or classes

• You’re not getting the learning support or adjustments you need

• You’ve been suspended or expelled unfairly

• You feel like your disability is not being taken seriously

• You’re being bullied or treated differently because of your disability

We can explain your rights and help you speak up. We also work directly with schools and universities to improve outcomes and ensure they understand their responsibilities under the law.
